ADEN, Feb. 15 (YPA) – Violent clashes erupted on Wednesday at the northwestern entrance to the city of Aden, which is under the control of the Saudi-led coalition militia.
Local sources familiar with the matter said that confrontations broke out between elements of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) and tribal gunmen from the people of Al-Sabiha of Ras Omran area.
The sources pointed out that the confrontations came after Al-Sabiha gunmen detained a number of engineers earlier this month, while they were carrying out a field survey with the goal of projecting the site of the future Aden Airport.
The sources did not indicate any casualties as a result of the clashes between the two sides.
