Civilians killed, others wounded in Michigan shooting

SANAA, Feb. 14 (YPA) – About 3 civilians were killed and 5 others wounded on Tuesday in a shooting at Michigan State University, northern United States.

Michigan State University (MSU)’s Police announced that a gunman opened fire on the university campus, leaving three dead and five wounded.

Thousands of students at Michigan State University were ordered to take cover after two people were shot dead in the building earlier in the evening.

“We are saddened to announce that three fatalities have been confirmed,” said MSU Police Deputy Chief Chris Rozman.

In statements to reporters, Rozman confirmed: “This is in addition to the five victims who were wounded and taken to hospital. Some of them were still suffering from life-threatening injuries.”

The suspect was found dead from self-inflicted gunshot wounds off-campus in the city of Lansing hours after the shooting began, Rozman said.
