Moscow’s ambassador in Washington: Western plans to defeat Russia failed

WORLD, Feb. 11 (YPA) – Russian ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov confirmed the West has failed in its bid to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia, noting that Moscow does not give up its goals is to create such a democratic world order based on justice, equality and international law.

“The whole Western world is up in arms against us. However, it is already clear today that plans to inflict a strategic defeat on our country have been thwarted,” he said.

According to the diplomat, Russia managed to rebuild its economy, as well as strengthen its military potential and strengthen cooperation with a number of countries.

“Yes, it is difficult for us. Yes, we live under economic sanctions. They want to even cut the name of our homeland from the political map of the world,” Antonov noted.

Antonov stressed that despite the difficulties, the Russian Federation does not give up its goals, the main of which is to create such a democratic world order based on justice, equality and international law.
