6 Syrian military personnel injured in explosive attack on police patrol in Daraa

DARAA, Feb. 02 (YPA) – At least six Syrian security personnel were injured in an attack by explosive devices in Daraa countryside, Syria’s state-run news agency ( SANA) reported on Wednesday , citing the Interior Ministry’s statement.

According to SANA, the Syrian Interior Ministry said in a statement: “During the implementation of the Internal Security Forces tasks in maintaining security and order in Daraa province, unknown terrorists targeted a police patrol on the road to Muzayrib Al-Yadouda in Daraa countryside, with two explosive devices.”

The ministry added that the explosion left six police officers with various injuries two of which are critical. Police patrols units in Daraa province immediately rushed to the scene and dispatched the injured to hospitals.

The statement indicated that the investigation process is still ongoing to find out the involved terrorists and take legal action against them.

On Monday, 15 members of the Internal Security Forces were wounded when a bus carrying them was targeted by an explosive device on the Damascus-Daraa highway.
