Meteorology expects low temperatures in desert areas

SANAA, Jan. 29 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology expected a decrease in temperatures in desert areas, and the continuation of cold and relatively cold weather in several provinces.

The center said, in its weather bulletin, a decrease in temperatures in the desert areas will reach three to four degrees Celsius for the provinces of Mahra, Hadramout, Marib, Shabwa and Jawf.

The center added that cold weather is expected to continue in Dhamar, Amran, Sanaa, Bayda, Saada, Dhalea, and Lahj, Taiz, Ibb and Abyan.

It pointed to the possibility of active to very fast winds on the south of the western coast and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, with a maximum speed of 30 knots.

The center warned citizens and farmers in cold provinces mentioned above to take the necessary precautions against cold weather.
