STC militia carry out unprecedented deployment in Aden

ADEN, Jan. 29 (YPA) – UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militia carried out on Sunday an unprecedented deployment on the streets of Aden.

According to media sources , the “storm” faction, which Zabidi personally supervises, has deployed heavy weapons, including tanks and armored vehicles, at the entrances of districts and major cities.

This comes a night after the arrival of Rashad Al-Alimi, chairman of the presidential council, with Abu Zara al-Mahrami and it is not yet clear whether this state of emergency is part of arrangements to secure Aden or a rebellion against al-Alimi.
