Sanaa, ICRC discuss efforts exerted to remove war remnants of coalition

SANAA, Jan. 25 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, has called on the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)’s mission to intensify its efforts to remove the war remnants of the coalition, given its impact on the lives of citizens.

This came during his meeting on Wednesday with the new head of the ICRC delegation to Yemen, Daphnée Maret, and her accompanying team.

During the meeting, President Al-Mashat directed all concerned parties to provide all facilities to the ICRC mission in Yemen, and to enable it to carry out its humanitarian tasks.

The meeting discussed the roles played by the ICRC delegation in Yemen during the eight years of aggressive war and siege imposed on the Yemeni people.
