4 STC militia members injured in bomb attack in Shabwa

SHABWA, Jan. 21 (YPA) – At least four militia members of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) were injured on Saturday when an explosive device exploded in their vehicle in Shabwa province, eastern Yemen.

Local sources in the province stated that unidentified persons, believed to be members of the Islah party, detonated an explosive device planted on the side of the road as a military vehicle belonging to the so-called “Shabwa Defense” militia passed in Al-Majaza area of Al-Rawdha district.

The sources indicated that the explosion damaged the vehicle and left four wounded, including serious cases, as a result of the many shrapnel.
