Kuwait accuses UN Security Council of condoning to Israeli crimes in Palestine

SANAA, Jan. 19 (YPA) – Kuwait has accused the UN Security Council of condoning to the crimes and violations committed by the Israeli enemy against the Palestinian people.

“The Palestinian people are still suffering the most severe types of attacks against them, without a reaction from the Council or an attempt to end this injustice,” Kuwait’s representative to the United Nations, Tariq Al-Banna, said in a speech to the Security Council on Wednesday.

He pointed out that “the killing and criminal practices against the Palestinians, human rights violations continue, and the systematic settlement policy has not stopped.”

Al-Banna also renewed the State of Kuwait’s support for the Palestinian people and its historical solidarity and standing with its just cause.

The Kuwaiti ambassador stressed the necessity of “the principle of accountability for the daily systematic violations of the occupation authority inside the occupied Palestinian territories.”
The pace of Zionist violations against the Palestinians has increased in recent months, especially killings, settlement construction and the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The number of Palestinian martyrs during the year 2022 reached more than 230 martyrs, the highest death toll since the years of the second Palestinian intifada launched between 2000-2005.
