International moves to overthrow Pro-coalition Prime Minister

ADEN, Jan. 18 (YPA) – An international mediation has failed to resolve differences between members of the so-called Riyadh-formed Presidential Council and overthrow “Maeen Abdul Malik” from the presidency of the government loyal to Saudi-led coalition, “ Belqees” TV channel affiliated with the Yemeni Islah Party reported on Wednesday.

According to the TV Channel, “The Saudi capital, Riyadh, witnessed during the past week, a series of intensive meetings brought together ambassadors of a number of countries with the President and members of the Council. The discussions focused on the need to overcome internal differences and return to work from within the city of Aden.”

The channel added that the differences that hit the ” Council”, since the beginning of last August, caused postponement of the government change

It also pointed out that the mediation conducted by the ambassadors of major countries and the European Union in the Saudi capital Riyadh for more than a week, was unable to heal the rift in the ranks of the “Riyadh-formed Presidential Council” or find understandings for controversial issues.

According to the channel, the problem of a fundamental change in the structure of the government”, topped the list of differences between the president and members of the “ Council” during the past days, as well as outstanding issues dominated by the military and security aspect.
