Tribal gunmen cut off roads to commercial trucks in Lahj

LHAJ, Jan. 16 (YPA) – Several tribal gunmen loyal to the UAE-backed militias in Lahj, southern Yemen, carried out operations on Monday to cut off the main roads to trucks of merchants from Taiz province.

Local residents reported armed men from the Al-Sabiha tribes blocked and prevented dozens of trucks in the Lahj’s Tur Al-Baha district of Lahj from passage.

The district is witnessing an escalation in killings, looting and security chaos, amid the inaction of the “coalition-backed government” authorities and the absence of its security services.
