Zionist enemy storms Al-Aqsa Mosque 262 times during 2022

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Jan. 09 (YPA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs said that the Zionist enemy and settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque 262 times during the year 2022, while the enemy army prevented the call to prayer 613 times in the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron.

An annual report issued by the ministry on Sunday stated that “the Zionist enemy and settlers have escalated their attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque, whether by the number of incursions that exceeded 262, or by the number of intruders who exceeded 48,000.”

The report indicated, according to the Palestinian News Agency, that “there are dangerous Judaization plans targeting Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Old City.”

The report monitored “dozens of cases of deportation of the guards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, its custodians, stationed men and women, and Palestinian citizens from the mosque.”

In the Ibrahimi Mosque, in the city of Hebron, the report said that “the Zionist occupation prevented the call to prayer 613 times and closed it for 10 days” during 2022.

The report also mentioned more than 175 attacks on the mosque in various forms, including “continuing to build the elevator and the tourist path for the elevator, excavations, raising flags and candlesticks on its roof, and holding loud parties.”

With regard to other mosques, which were also not spared from attacks, 24 mosques were attacked by the Zionist enemy, whether by storming them, stopping work in them, burning them, or demolishing them.
