SANAA, Jan. 07 (YPA) – Cold and relatively cold weather will be expected to continue to several Yemeni provinces during the coming 24 hours, according to the National Center of Meteorology.
The center said in its weather forecast the cold weather would target the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda, Dhalea, Abyan, Lahj, Ibb and Shabwa.
It indicated that fog may form in separate areas of western Saada, Hajjah, Mahweet, Rayma, Ibb, Taiz, Lahj and Abyan.
The center pointed out that active winds to be likely to blow, with a maximum speed of 26 knots, over the south of the Red Sea and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab.
The center stated that the lowest temperatures recorded in some meteorological stations reaching 4.2 in Dhamar, 6.4 in Amran, 6.8 in Sanaa, and 9 in Saada.
The Meteorological Center warned citizens in cold provinces to them from cold weather, calling on motorists to drive carefully on mountainous roads and slopes of low horizontal visibility due to water mist or fog.
