Nearly 95,000 volcanic, earthquake activities recorded in 2022

SANAA, Jan. 02 (YPA) – Nearly 94,989 volcanic activities, tremors and earthquakes were recorded around the world in 2022.

Statistics issued by international centers for seismic monitoring, affirmed that the occurrence of 87 thousand and 59 land and sea earthquakes, and the registration of 4 thousand and 95 earthquakes in various countries of the world.

They indicated that monitoring centers recorded 3,835 volcanic activities during the same period.

The seismic monitoring centers recorded, on the first day of the new year 2023, 269 earth and sea tremors of the second, third and fourth magnitude in a number of countries of the world.
