SANAA, Jan. 02 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology is expected cold weather to continue during the coming 24 hours.
In its weather bulletin, the center affirmed that the cold wave is to prevail over the provinces of Dhamar, Sanaa, Amran, Bayda, Dhalea, Abyan, Lahj, Ibb and Shabwa.
The center also is expected that scattered rain will fall on parts of the western highlands, the internal plateaus, and parts of the southern and eastern coastal areas.
It indicated to active to strong winds might blow, with a maximum speed of 34 knots over the south of the Red Sea and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, reaching 24 knots around the Socotra archipelago, while fog may form on separate areas of Hajjah Mahweet, Raymah, Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, Lahj and Abyan.
The center called on citizens in the previously mentioned provinces to take the necessary precautions against cold weather.
