Iran accuses America of “creating excuses” to thwart nuclear deal negotiations

TEHRAN, Dec. 29 (YPA) – Chairman of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization, Mohammad Eslami, on Thursday accused the United States of America of making excuses to thwart the indirect negotiations between them to revive the agreement on Iran’s nuclear program.

During a speech at a scientific conference at the University of Isfahan, Eslami explained that the negotiations of the nuclear agreement were completed for America’s return to its commitments, and all texts were written about five months ago, but it was Washington that made excuses at the last moments.

He added, “They say that we went to the agreement, but Iran wants something new, and in fact it is America that wanted new things.”

Eslami noted that the reason for America’s anger today is the accuracy of the Iranian missiles, and they know that they cannot enter into a military conflict with Iran.

Iran’s Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, criticized what he called the hypocrisy of the West, especially the United States of America, stressing that the window for nuclear negotiations is still “open”, but it will not remain so “forever” and his country may close it if this hypocrisy continues.
