HODEIDA, Dec. 28 (YPA) – Chairman of the Red Sea Ports Corporation, Muhammad Ishaq, on Tuesday warned of the repercussions of the systematic practices of the Saudi-led coalition countries on the operational process of the activity of Hodeida port.
Ishaq affirmed that the coalition countries’ continued intransigence in preventing the import and introduction of spare parts for operational equipment and machinery represents a serious threat and heralds the cessation of the port’s activity.
He held the United Nations responsible for the results of its silence towards these practices, which doubles requirements of the operational process in the port of Hodeida, and exacerbate the suffering of Yemeni people.
Ishaq explained that the port needs new mechanisms to cover the deficit, including the gantry cranes for the container terminal that was targeted by the coalition aircraft.
