MARIB, Dec. 25 (YPA) – Unknown gunmen on Saturday assassinated a prominent military commander affiliated with Islah Party on the outskirts of the city of Marib, northeastern Yemen.
This was reported by Yemen News Portal, based on testimonies of local sources.
According to the sources, the unknown persons targeted the operations’ officer in the Islah forces in the Al-Alam front, northeast of Marib, Colonel Muath Al-Bukhaiti, with an explosive device that was planted in his military vehicle while he was on his way to the front.
The death of Al-Bukhiti comes as a continuation of series of assassinations orchestrating by the UAE and carried out by the UAE-backed factions in Ma’rib city, against military commanders, the last of whom is the advisor to the Minister of Defense, Major General Mohammed Al-Jaradi.
