UAE-funded elements block roads in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, Dec. 20 (YPA) – Elements funded by the UAE blocked on Tuesday the road in front of a local demonstration “Al-Hadrami Day” in Hadramout province, eastern Yemen.

Eyewitnesses said that a gang affiliated with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) intercepted citizens’ cars in the “40 Apartments” area with stones, trying to prevent them from reaching the venue of the demonstration.

The sources indicated that the STC gangs tried to attack the demonstrators and grab the banners and flags of the demonstration.

This comes after the pro-UAE militia stormed Monday a sewing shop in the city of Mukalla, the capital of the province, and confiscated the banners and flags in the shop.
