SANAA, Dec. 20 (YPA) – Three people were killed and another injured by an explosion that occurred on a gas pipeline in the territory of the central Russian republic of Chuvashia on Tuesday.
The Russian agency “Tass” quoted the head of the local administration and sources in the emergency services that the accident killed three people and injured another, all of them workers who were doing maintenance work for the pipeline.
The branch of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Republic of Chuvashia reported that the accident occurred about 50 kilometers south of the capital Cheboksary, where a fire broke out after a gas leak in the underground gas pipeline.
