SANAA, Dec. 13 (YPA) – At least 55 people were killed by heavy rains in the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kinshasa.
“At least 55 people have died in the capital as a result of torrential rains, floods have caused serious damage to property and flooded the main streets in the center of the city of 51 million people,”, AFP quoted Kinshasa police chief General, Silvano Kasongo as saying.
Kasongo explained that the victims fell in different areas and municipalities of the city, especially in the valleys, where houses were flooded due to landslides.
