Abduction of STC’s recruit raises tension in Lahj

LAHJ, Dec. 09 (YPA) – Military forces belong to Al-Sabiha tribes arrested on Thursday a recruit of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia in Al-Sabiha area of Lahj province, southern Yemen.

 This led to a large military deployment of the STC militia in several residential areas in Al-Sabiha.

According to media sources, the so-called “Dera’ Al-Watan Forces” arrested the soldier “Qamari Al-Saoari, nicknamed “Abu Shuja’a,” one of the recruits of the “9th Commandos Brigade” in the village of “Khor Al-Omira Al-Madhariba” of the “Ras Al-Ara” area in Al-Sabiha.

The sources added that the conscript Al-Saoari was beat by the Dera’ Al-Watan forces that abducted him and took him to a prison in one of its camps.
