Sanaa mocks American envoy’s statements on peace in Yemen

SANAA, Dec. 07 (YPA) – Officials in the Sanaa government mocked on Wednesday the statements made by the US Special Envoy to Yemen, Tim Lenderking, on accusing Sanaa of obstructing reaching a political agreement or renewing the truce.

Minister of Information in Sanaa, Daif Allah al-Shami, responded to Lenderking’s statement that the only solution in Yemen is a Yemeni-Yemeni political process, adding that “Sana’a is butting heads and not negotiating with feet.”

For his part, a member of the Political Bureau of Ansar Allah, Ali al-Qahoum, described what Lenderking’s remarks, presented before the House of Representatives, as a policy of hypocrisy, lies, misleading, and the consolidation of the procedure and the continuous aggression towards Yemen.

“What Lenderking presented to the House of Representatives is clear evidence of aggressive behavior, exposed approach, duplicity, and double standards, as well as clear arrangements for escalation that are contrary to peace,” he added.
