Saudi forces prevents STC from celebrating Independence Day in Aden

ADEN, Nov. 29 (YPA) – Saudi occupation forces imposed strict measures on the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) in Yemen’s southern port city of Aden, Informed political sources reported

According to the sources, the Saudi forces prevented the STC from organizing  celebration on the 55th Anniversary of the Independence Day, November 30, on which  South Yemen declared independence from Great Britain in 1967, in the city of Aden.

The sources added that the Saudi forces forced the STC to transfer the celebration to the city of Zinjibar, the capital of Abyan province, 60 km from Aden.

This comes after the escalation of the dispute between the Saudi forces and the leaders of the “STC” following Saudi reinforcement for its factions, in addition to preventing the return of the President of STC , Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, to Aden, amid Saudi efforts to hand over the city to “Tariq Saleh”.
