Lebanese parliament fails to elect new president for seventh time

BEIRUT, Nov. 24 (YPA) – The Lebanese Parliament on Thursday failed to choose a president for the country for the seventh time in a row.

This prompted Parliament Speaker, Nabih Berri, to set a session next Thursday, December 1, as a new date for an eighth session to elect the president of the republic.

Lebanon is entering its fourth week, and the position of the country’s president is vacant, after the term of “Michel Aoun” ended on October 31.
