SANAA, Nov. 22 (YPA) – Iran’s naval forces vowed on Tuesday to prevent American drones from sailing in the Gulf waters as a threat to its security.
Commander of the Iranian Navy, Shahram Irani, said in a statement, “We had earlier seized a number of these boats and then released them because the American side promised to remove them from the region.”
He added, according to the Iranian Fars Agency, “If America takes the initiative again to run them, we will detain them again because they endangers navigation and commercial ships and oil tankers.”
“All Iranian commercial ships are escorted by the navy,” said Irani, pointing to the progress that Iran has achieved in various scientific and industrial fields, including the production of types of marine parts, air equipment and strategic weapons.
