Cold weather to hit 9 Yemeni provinces within coming hours

SANAA, Nov. 18 (YPA) – The National Meteorological Center said on Friday that a cold weather is expected to hit in nine Yemeni governorates, calling for taking the necessary precautions in the coming 24 hours.

 

The center stated in its weather bulletin, it is expected to be very cold in the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar and Bayda, as well as in the highlands of the governorates of Abyan, Lahj, Dhalea and Ibb.

“Winds are likely to be active to strong, with a speed of between 20-30 knots, on the south of the western coast, the entrance to Bab al-Mandab and the west of the Gulf of Aden,” the center said.

It warned the elderly, children, patients and workers during the night and early morning to take the necessary precautions to prevent cold weather, as well as farmers.
