HODEIDA, Nov.07 (YPA) – The Governor of Hodeida province, Muhammad Quhaim, and Head of the General Authority for Zakat, Sheikh Shamsan Abu Nahstan, on Monday laid the foundation stone for the implementation of the first phase of the kidney transplant center project at Al-Thawra Hospital in the province, with estimated cost of 300 million riyals, funded by the Zakat Authority.
During the laying of the foundation stone, the governor praised the efforts of the leadership of the Zakat Authority, which gives Hodeida attention in various fields, by financing projects that the province lacks.
Quhaim affirmed that the kidney transplant center project will contribute to achieving a qualitative leap in the work of the hospital, which provides medical and therapeutic services to the people of the province and the neighboring provinces.
For his part, Sheikh Abu Nashtan indicated the interest of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council in implementing projects that meet the needs of citizens, especially with regard to patients with kidney failure.
In turn, Chairman of the General Al-Thawra Hospital, Dr. Khalid Suhail, praised the efforts of the Zakat Authority in financing the establishment of the kidney transplant center, whose estimated cost amounts to one billion riyals, considering this a new qualitative addition to the existing specialized centers that are currently being implemented.
