HADRAMOUT, Nov. 02 (YPA) -In the past few hours, the United States of America has sent a military team to the oil-rich province of Hadramout, eastern Yemen.
The visit of US military personnel to the province comes after the warning military strike carried out by Sana’a forces to prevent the looting of Yemeni oil on October 21.
According to well-informed local sources, the repeated US visits to Hadramout come within the framework of the race to plunder the oil and gas wealth from Yemen, as these visits witnessed an accelerated pace by Western officials to eastern Yemen, the latest of which was the visit of the French ambassador to the coalition government to Mukalla at the end of last September, in light of the West’s efforts to secure its energy needs following the Russian-Western war in Ukraine.
The sources pointed out that Hadramout governor, in the puppet government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition, Mabkhout bin Madi, met with the US military delegation of the civil affairs team, headed by Major “Kevin”.
During the session, bin Madi complained to the US military about the decision to prevent the export of Yemeni oil taken by the Sana’a government, and the effects of the decision “on the global market,”
He also expressed his aspirations to strengthen security and combat terrorism in Hadramout in cooperation with US forces, according to the sources, ”
Analysts and military observers explain the growing US-European moves in Yemen’s oil and gas rich eastern regions to the US-British and French military expansion by controlling the oi-rich sectors, with the aim of sending more companies to plunder Yemen’s natural resources, including oil, gold and other precious metals.
According to observers, the US moves in eastern Yemen coincide with Washington’s orientations to reposition and distribute its forces in Somalia and the southeastern coasts of Yemen, during which the United States activated the file of the USS Cole, which in October 2000 was attacked off the coast of the city of Aden, with the aim of creating pretexts before the international community, to justify the plans aimed at targeting the security and sovereignty of Yemen and the region, especially in light of the existence of a weak “government” formed by the coalition, in order to facilitate all their dirty plans against Yemen.
They [ observers] said the US blackmail through the paper of the destroyer Cole, came after France’s success in reopening the Balhaf facility, by activating the file of the crash of a Yemenia airplane off the coast of the Comoros, and issuing a ruling from the French judiciary holding Yemen Airways responsible for the incident, although the information circulating in the early days of the incident accused the French Navy of targeting the aircraft.
However, the head of the UAE’s Center for Political Studies, Khalid al-Shamiri, pointed out on Tuesday evening that the most important point discussed and raised in the meeting is “ways to combat terrorism and rebel groups.
He said that this marks the end of the presence of the “first military region ” of Islah, which he described as “rebel and loyal to al-Qaeda, adding the end of Islah presence is closer than you think.
A number of US intelligence officers arrived on a military plane at Mukalla airport in mid-August, carrying out a reconnaissance tour in the UAE-controlled oil port of Dhaba, the area of Fuwwah, the most prominent stronghold of al-Qaeda west of the city of Mukalla, in addition to the areas of al-Shahr and Broome, where the “Barshid” camp of the UAE militia is located.
The repeated visits of US forces to Hadramout came as an extension of the suspicious visits carried out by the US ambassador to the coalition government to Hadramout, Shabwa and Marib during the months Past.
