SANAA, Oct. 31 (YPA) – Leader of the Yemeni revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, praised the third collective wedding that organized on Monday by the General Authority for Zakat in the capital Sanaa.
During his speech made in front of over 10,000 grooms and brides, he urged the people of the community to pay attention to facilitating the marriage costs and reducing its high costs at the level of dowries.
Sayyed Al-Houthi considered that many additional customs and obligations to celebrate marriage are heavy burdens on the large segment of society and making marriage difficult.
He recommended the community to embody its faith identity and religious affiliation in organizing weddings and to avoid anything that affects this identity.
Sayyed Abdul-Malik pointed out that shooting at weddings is a matter that poses a threat to people’s security and lives, calling for avoiding everything that harms society and its stability, in addition to getting rid of negative manifestations incompatible with the values of faith in weddings.
