ADEN, Oct. 30 (YPA) – A shop was subjected on Sunday to an robbery carried out by an armed gang believed to belong to the Emirates-funded militia in the city of Aden, southern Yemen.
Sources familiar with the matter said that the armed gang stormed the Al-Nasr Sweets Store in Sheikh Othman area, and looted the money at gunpoint.
The sources indicated that the armed gang fired live bullets randomly during the storming, without recording any injuries among workers.
This comes in conjunction with the comprehensive strike being carried out by Sheikh Othman merchants and the closure of their shops in protest against the abuses and the imposition of exorbitant royalties and levies by the Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia backed by the UAE in the city.
The city of Aden is witnessing a security chaos amid the spread of armed gangs from the (STC) militia, which tended to loot the money and property of citizens due to the interruption of their dues by the coalition.
