Traders’ civil disobedience in Aden continues for third day in row
ADEN, Oct. 27 (YPA) – The commercial shop owners on Thursday continued, for the third day in a row, to close their shops in the port city of Aden, southern Yemen.
The commercial movement has been completely paralyzed in the Sheikh Othman district and some neighborhoods in the city after merchants refused to open their shops, in protest against the escalation of the imposed levies.
The shop owners said, in a statement, that they will continue their strike until the illegal levies be lifted from their shoulders and the extortion practiced against them by the Southern Transitional Council’s factions loyal to Saudi-led coalition forces be stopped.
