Transport drivers carry out demonstration in Lahj

LAHJ, Oct. 26 (YPA) – Heavy transport drivers carried out on Wednesday for the second day in a row, a protest in Jaoula area of Tebin district of Lahj governorate, demanding to stop the attacks of Transitional leadership on the drivers’ union.

During the demonstration, the protesters said that the deputy director of the port of Aden, “Zaki al-Zaabi”, stopped work at the syndicate office and stopped the new syndicate management from practicing its work.

The protesters demanded reopening of trade union office and enabling the new trade union leadership to carry out its work without hindrance.

The protesters also stressed that their strike will continue until their legitimate demands are met and their arrested colleagues are released.
