9 killed, 40 injured in terrorist attack on hotel in Somalia

WORLD, Oct. 24 (YPA) – At least nine civilians were killed in an attack by Al-Shabab militants on a hotel in Somalia’s port city Kismayo on Sunday, Somalian media reported.

According to Garowe Online, Jubaland security forces ended the siege of the Tawakal Hotel in the port city of Kismayo after neutralizing 3 militants in a 6-hour battle.

The attack left nine people killed and 40 injured, Somalia’s Ministry of State Security said.
