WORLD, Oct. 12 (YPA) – The Grayzone media outlet has released details and documents on the secret British intelligence plot to blow up Crimea’s Kerch Bridge.
The Grayzone has obtained an April 2022 presentation drawn up for senior British intelligence officers hashing out an elaborate scheme to blow up Crimea’s Kerch Bridge with the involvement of specially trained Ukrainian soldiers.
The roadmap was produced by Hugh Ward, a British military veteran at the request of British intelligence officer and adviser to NATO Secretary-General Chris Donnelly. The plan aims to help Ukraine “threaten Russian forces” in the Black Sea.
Ward suggested destroying the bridge by firing cruise missiles at the central arch of the bridge or detonating mines planted on the sidewalks by divers or drone submarine.
Donnelly forwarded Ward’s draft to former Lithuanian Defense Minister Audrius Petkevičius, who could have passed it on to Ukrainian authorities, and Butkevičius’s correspondence with Donnelly shows that the former minister is also in contact with Guy Spindler, a member of Britain’s Foreign Intelligence Service (MI6).
The site reached out to Ward, who does not deny involvement in the preparation of the plan to destroy the bridge, but has not confirmed this either, saying he should talk to Donnelly first.
