SANAA, Oct. 10 (YPA) – A Yemeni woman has given birth to seven twins consecutively in two separate births in the capital, Sanaa.
The Al-Sabeen Hospital for Maternity and Childhood in the capital city witnessed on Monday the birth of quadruplets, females, to a woman in her thirties, by caesarean section.
The obstetrics and gynecology specialist, Dr. Fayza Moqbel, head of the medical team that performed the operation, explained that the mother and the four-twins are in good health and their condition is stable.
Dr. Fayza pointed out that this was the second birth of the same mother, Yasmine Al-Zala’i, from Taiz province, who had given birth to triplets seven years ago. She pointed out that the mother arrived at the hospital in a difficult birth in the seventh month, which necessitated a Caesarean section that was done successfully.
In turn, Dr. Majida Al-Khatib, director of the hospital, stated that the birth of the four twins is the first in the hospital. She commended the medical team that performed the caesarean section, and the efforts of the medical staff in the hospital to improve health care services under the difficult conditions of war and siege.
