STC paves way for its forces to escalate in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, Sept. 23 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) has continued to mobilize its supporters in Hadramout province to demonstrate against the First Military Region’s forces and to pave the way for its forces to control the oil sources.

Qatn city in Hadramout valley witnessed on Thursday evening a mass rally to demand the departure of the First Military Region forces affiliated with Islah Party (Brotherhood of Yemen), the replacement of the “Hadrami Elite” forces and the formation of the so-called “Hadramout Defense” forces.

The demonstrations coincide with intensive moves by the STC to control the Hadramout and Mahra provinces, eastern Yemen.
