Artillery attack hits Islah-run camp in Abyan

ABYAN, Sept. 20 (YPA) – Militias of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) backed by the UAE heavily fired artillery at a military camp of the Islah Party militants in Abyan province, south of Yemen.

Southern media published a statement of the Fifth Brigade of the Infantry in Islah-held Mudeya district, that it had been bombed by mortar shells targeting its leadership headquarters.

The bombing came in light of the “STC” accusations of “Islah” of using al-Qaeda elements as a spearhead against the Transitional militia in the district.
