Displaced man died inside UAE-run prison in Lahj

LAHJ, Sept. (YPA) – A displaced young man died in a prison run by the UAE-backed militias in Lahj province, southern Yemen, after being kidnaped 5 months ago.

Local media sources stated that the man, Basem Abdo Ahmed, 16, died inside his detention in the prison of Al-Anad Air Base that Emirati and American forces have a military base for their forces.

The sources pointed out that the displaced person came out as a lifeless body, after he was prevented from visiting his family during his kidnapping, and the rest of the detainees were subjected to harsh living conditions.
