Hadramout tribes threaten to expel STC militias

HADRAMOUT, SEpt. 18 (YPA) – Hadramout tribes threatened on Saturday to expel the so-called theUAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s  militia from the oil plateau in the governorate.

In a statement, the Hadramaut tribes reference confirmed its refusal to bring in any military forces from outside the governorate, in a clear reference to the reinforcements of the STC militia.

The statement stressed that the tribes will not allow the militarization of the valley and desert districts, and the detonation of a new series of fighting, in a hint to counter the efforts of the Emirati factions that are preparing for a battle with the Islah party to control the governorate.

The STC had threatened to expel the Hadrami tribes, after they continued to refuse the deployment of forces in the oil province.
