Saudi-led forces violate UN truce 168 times in just 24 hours

PROVINCES, Sept. 15 (YPA) – The US-backed Saudi-led coalition forces and their mercenaries committed 168 violations of the UN-brokered humanitarian and military truce during the past 24 hours, the official Yemeni news agency Saba reported, citing a military source on Wednesday.

According to the source, the coalition’s violations included the flight of the hostile Apache warplanes in the airspace of al-Fara area in Najran region, and 40 violations represented in the flight of armed and spying reconnaissance aircraft in the airspace of the provinces of Marib, Taiz, Hajjah, Jawf, Saada, Hodeidah, Dhalea, Bayda and border fronts.

The source pointed out that two violations were monitored by air strikes by armed reconnaissance aircraft on the homes of citizens and the sites of the army and popular committees in al-Qarn area in Taiz as well as the sites of the army and committees in al-Muthalath and Tabat Fawaz al-Fakher in Dhalea.

He reported that three violations were recorded by creating fortifications in Sabira in Dhalea and in the north and north-east of Hays area in Hodeida.

The source confirmed that 103 violations were monitored by shooting at citizens’ homes, army sites and popular committees in Marib, Taiz, Hajjah, Saada, Dhalea, Hodeida and the border fronts.

He pointed out that 19 violations were recorded by artillery shelling of the mercenaries in Marib, Hajjah, Saada, Hodeida and the fronts beyond the border.

The coalition’s mercenaries also targeted, with intense artillery shelling, the sites of the army and committees west of Haradh, Bani Hassan and al-Tina areas in Hajjah as well as the sites of the army and popular committees in Razeh, al-Madafen, al-Malahith and Munabeh areas in Saada, the source said.

He stated that artillery shelling targeted the army and popular committees’ sites in the north and north-east of Hays in Hodeida and towards sites in Maqabana in Taiz and in Wadi Gara and Jabal Tawaleq in Jizan region and in al-Sharkha area in Asir region.
