President Al-Mashat praises efforts made to restore Awqaf funds

SANAA, Sept. 13 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, on Tuesday praised the efforts made to restore endowment funds.

During his meeting with a committee from the education, culture and media sector headed by Hassan Al-Sa’adi, President Al-Mashat called for the relevant authorities to supporting the General Authority for Awqaf to restore the endowment to its rightful path and its social, humanitarian and charitable role.

President Al-Mashat stressed that preserving endowment funds is a religious duty and responsibility for everyone, calling on the media, intellectuals, preachers, guides and educational authorities to raise awareness of the community about the importance of endowments, so that their benefits reach the poor segment in society.

The meeting discussed the difficulties facing the General Authority for Awqaf, and ways to address them so that it can perform its role to the fullest.
