170 violations of UN-declared military, humanitarian truce recorded in Yemen

SANAA, Sept. 01 (YPA) – The US-backed Saudi-led aggression coalition forces and their mercenaries have committed 170 violations of the humanitarian and military truce, the official Yemeni news agency Saba reported on Thursday, citing a military source.

According to the military source, the violations included flying of coalition’s warplanes over Saada and Amran and 41 armed reconnaissance aircrafts flew over Marib, Taiz, Hodeida, Jawf, Hajjah, Saada, Dhalea and Bayda provinces and border fronts.

The source declared that coalition’s mercenaries committed four breaches by creation of combat fortifications in Tabat Siraj and Tabat Al-Afafish of Al-Jabalia area in Tuhayta district and in north of Hays district in Hodeida province.

The source pointed out that three breaches included air strikes of coalition’s warplanes attacked citizens’ homes and army’s sites in Qroon Al-Bor of Obaida district in Marib province, which resulted in death of a citizen and injuring four others.

He also confirmed that 25 violations by artillery shelling were recorded at the army’s sites in Marib, Hajjah, Saada, Hodeida and border fronts.

The source mentioned that an artillery bombardment attacked the army’s sites in Al-Balq Al-Sharqi and Malaa areas of Marib, Haradh, Bani Hassan, Medi and Al-Tina areas of Hajjah, Al-Malaheedh, Munabeh, Al-Madafin and Razih districts of Saada.

The source pointed out that an artillery shelling targeted sites of the Yemeni army in Al-Jabalia area of Hodeida, Maqbna area of Taiz, Al-Amood and Al-Sabaia areas of Wadi Jara, Jabal Twailq and Al-Kamb areas in Jizan border province.

In addition, the source declared that 95 breaches were recorded, with heavy shooting at citizens’ homes and sites of the army and popular committees in Marib, Taiz, Hajjah, Saada, Hodeida, Dhalea, Bayda and border fronts.
