MOSCOW, Aug. 31 (YPA) – The Russian Foreign Ministry, on the eve of the Iranian Foreign Minister’s visit to Moscow, announced that cooperation between Iran and Russia would continue despite the hostilities of the West.
According to Sputnik, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that “ The hostilities and sanctions practiced by the West against Iran and Russia do not prevent the development of useful bilateral cooperation between the two countries in all fields.”
In reference to the increased level of cooperation between Tehran and Moscow, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced that during the period from January to July 2022, bilateral trade between Russia and Iran amounted to $ 2.7 billion, an increase of 42.7% compared to the same period last year.
The statement added that a progress has been made in negotiations on the Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement between Iran and the Eurasian Economic Union.
