5 Egyptians freed in Libya

BANI WALID, Aug. 27 (YPA) – Brigade 444 of the Government of National Unity freed on Saturday 5 Egyptians, from the grip of a criminal gang in Bani Walid city in central Libya.

In a statement posted on its Facebook page, the Brigade explained that its forces “stormed the den of the gang, which was involved in kidnapping and torture.

The abductees were have been subjected to the most severe forms of torture and beatings, while the kidnappers bargained with their families to pay money for their release, according to the statement.

First aid was given to the freed Egyptians, before transferring them to Bani Walid Hospital for treatment, the statement said.

The brigade praised and thanked the citizen who reported the incident.
