Security official injured in Abyan assassination attempt

ABYAN, 02 (YPA) – A security official was wounded on Tuesday in an assassination attempt in the Abyan province, south of Yemen.

Informed media sources reported that armed men ambushed the leader of the “Security Belt” militia, Mohammed Ali Mu’ams, who is belonging to the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council in Khobar al-Maraqsha area, near the coastal city of Shaqra, injuring him and killing his father.

The security chaos returned to Abyan after the recruitment of tribesmen was opened to join the so-called “Happy Yemen Brigades” supervised by Tariq Afash funded by the UAE.
