ADEN, Aug.01 (YPA) – A senior leader of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias resigned on Monday as a member in the STC in the city of Aden, south of Yemen.
Ahmed Saeed Karama, a member of the so-called “National Assembly of the STC, said on Facebook that his resignation came due to the STC’s efforts to work for another banner, away from the project of returning the southern provinces to before the achievement of unity of Yemen, on May 22, 1990.
Karama described the STC’s concessions as painful and humiliating, which it made to the Saudi-led coalition and the Alimi Council, noting that the current stage would not allow impartiality.
