Shura Council deplores coalition’s continued violation of armistice

SANAA, Jul. 25 (YPA) – The Shura Council on Sunday deplored the Saudi-led coalition’s continual violation of the truce by bombing the areas on the western coast with drones, and direct targeting of citizens in boarder areas with artillery shelling.

In a statement issued today, the Shura Council confirmed its support for all decisions and options taken by the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council to stop the aggression, lift the siege completely and address the humanitarian situation.

The statement held the coalition countries and its tools responsible for the deterioration of the humanitarian and living conditions of the Yemeni people and for the failure to implement the terms of the agreed truce.

In its statement, the Council Shura called on the army, the popular committees and the Yemeni people to raise their readiness and vigilance to thwart the conspiracies of the coalition and to prepare for all options.

The Council called on the United Nations and its Special Envoy to Yemen not to double standards and to work seriously in order to alleviate the human suffering of the Yemeni people and to compel the coalition to implement all the terms of the declared armistice, and to condemn the coalition’s continued violations.
