Military Commander: Iran’s airspace is fully covered by sophisticated local radar and missile systems

TEHRAN, Jul. 20 (YPA) – Brigadier General Abolfazl Sepehri Rad, the coordination assistant of the Iranian army’s air defense forces affirmed  that his country’s airspace is fully covered by sophisticated local radar and missile systems, and is the winning card in this area.

 Speaking at a meeting of regional leaders and defense groups of the Iranian army’s air defense forces, General Abolfazl Sepehri Rad said “Our country’s airspace is fully covered by sophisticated and local radar and missile systems, and this air superiority has created security and peace of mind for our citizens.”

 Defending Iran’s airspace is not a challenge today, he said, adding that covering Iranian airspace with local and modern defense systems is the winning  card for our country in the face of enemies.

 He concluded his speech by saying that the army air defense sorces seek to achieve national competence through the advanced orientation and increasing development in technical and engineering sciences .
