STC militia besiege “Al-Alimi” in Aden presidential palace

ADEN, July. 19 (YPA) – UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militias redeployed on Tuesday near Al-Ma’asheq Presidential Palace in the city of Aden, south of Yemen.

Local media sources affirmed that several military units of the STC deployed in the neighborhoods of Crater district and areas in the coastal strip of the city.

According to the sources, the deployment process would be a provocative step to Al-Alimi, who recently returned with disappointment from Saudi Arabia, in light of the attempts of the STC to re-export the “southern issue” to the front of the Yemeni scene.

The sources indicated that the military units set up checkpoints near the Palace, the residence of the head of the “Riyadh-formed Presidential Council”, Rashad Al-Alimi.
